Petermoffat 0 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 I’m a little stumped here. Server is hosted on Debian, and has been running on this hardware for a few years with remote access enabled and working. I don’t have a static ip, but have a dynamic DNS provider that updates on a cron job. Access to other hosted apps is working as usual, but Emby is suddenly not available outside of my network, either through the app, or a web browser. Port forward and firewall rule is unchanged, and as said, other services are working as before. I’ve restarted the server, confirmed my premier key, and checked that remote access is enabled, and now I’m out of ideas. I set up a second server on another machine last night for a mate, and had signed in with my premier key to test transcoding before they collected. Did having two servers with the same key cause this, or is it unrelated? I may have clicked the upnp option in the new server for port forwards, I don’t see any change in the unifi dashboard but I wonder if this has messed something up?
Solution Petermoffat 0 Posted January 9, 2025 Author Solution Posted January 9, 2025 Typing that last bit got me curious, was able to reboot the gateway device and the issue is resolved. For future me, remember you don’t understand unifi as well as you think you do.
Lessaj 467 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 Also to my knowledge the UPnP won't work if the ports are already mapped anyway.
