Folder Based Access Control doesn't hide data in the Music section of Emby

Hi,

i created a user and set up Permissions for accessing only one of three Folders in the Music library. However this user sees every Album and every Artist which is stored in the whole music library, not only in the specific folder which is selected. When trying to play one of the incorrectly displayed Album or Artist, there is a error message that says "Keine abspielbaren Elemente gefunden. Handelt es sich um einen leeren Ordner?" So the Permissions do have effect. Is there any way to hide the content, which is not stored in the selected folders? In the Movies section and in the TV Shows section there is no content shown that is stored in unselected folders.

Thanks alot!

Hi there, Emby Server 4.8.8.0 on Synology.

Example:

Folders in Library:

Folder 1 - 50 audio files
Folder 2 - 100 audio files
Folder 3 - 75 audio files

User 1 has permission to access Folder 1, 2 and 3. Every album, artist, genre and song which is stored in any folder is shown in the media overview. -> correct behavior

User 2 has permission to access Folder 3:
Every album which is stored in any folder is shown -> unexpected behavior
Every artist which is stored in any folder is shown -> unexpected behavior
Every genre which is stored in any folder is shown -> unexpected behavior
Only 75 songs which are stored in folder 3 are shown -> correct behaviour

No content of Folder 1 and 2 can effectively be played by User 2, however the content should be hidden.

Hi, anymore information on this, Im having the same issue.

New Windows 11 PC, New Emby install, version - 4.8.10.0. Music Library has 7 folders, I have a user that I only want to be able to access just 3 of the seven folders. No matter what I do in the library access setting they either have the ability to view all or nothing. Although at least they can't play the music they don't have access to as they cannot see the tracks, they can only browse the albums.
