zodac01 3 Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 Hi, I've just moved my Emby server instance from a Windows install to Linux. I was able to use the 'Backup & Restore' plugin to migrate all my configurations and things are streaming fine. However, most of the media images seems to have broken (not sure if this is specific to Linux). I was able to resolve the images for my media by deleting the library and recreating it (after some lengthy scans for 'Skip Intro'!). But the actor images are all broken, presumably because it is referencing the old image location. I am able to resolve this by refreshing the metadata for an actor and choosing to replace all images, but that's a lot of work to hit everyone. Is there a way to refresh the metadata for all actors on the server? Trying to force a refresh on the libraries doesn't seem to fix it.
Solution Neminem 1519 Posted January 3, 2025 Solution Posted January 3, 2025 (edited) You can search for A*** goto people and multiselect all in that search. Then 3 dot line select "Refresh Metadata" After that search for B*** etc. I have not found an easier way to do it. Edited January 3, 2025 by Neminem 1
zodac01 3 Posted January 3, 2025 Author Posted January 3, 2025 Oof, that's a roundabout way of doing it, but definitely better than what I was doing before. Thank you! It's not just me, but there's no 'select all' option in multiselect, right? You've got to click each icon manually?
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 You can select a range with shift-click. Paul 1
zodac01 3 Posted January 3, 2025 Author Posted January 3, 2025 Thanks, that should simplify things at least. Only 26 sets to do!
Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 Or you can look at the api and update that way also. Pretty sure there is a script around here somewhere on the forum also. As it was removed per provider requests as at one time Emby was hammering their servers.
