bubba_nuts 3 Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 Howdy! I run Emby Server 4.8.10.0 on a Windows 11 machine with an HDHomeRun PRIME (HDHR3-CC) tuner. I noticed today that my tuner was in use by Emby, but I don't see any active recordings or users watching. The tuner's web interface shows that the Emby box is connected and Task Manager shows that network traffic. Nothing is in the server log or the admin dashboard. (Attached.) Is there some place else where I can look? embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 Hi, that's strange. If you restart emby server, does that go away?
bubba_nuts 3 Posted January 2, 2025 Author Posted January 2, 2025 Restarting did stop this. Maybe something was stuck from a prior viewing/recording days (weeks?) ago. Anywho, I'll post again if it recurs. 2
Carlo 4560 Posted January 4, 2025 Posted January 4, 2025 I've seen this happen a couple times, but I saw nothing wrong in Emby logs. The last time this happened I was ready and able to search logs. I had just restarted the tuner just a tad under 2 days prior as I moved it, so I knew the issue had to have been in the last 2 days. It was an usual channel for my system to have someone watch or record from making the number of tunes to this channel low or 1. Sure enough, on my system it was used 1 time and that was a recording from a keyword. Viewing the server log everything looked normal including Emby Server closing the stream from the tuner. The other time I saw this happen was testing Channels DVR which also showed the stream closed properly. So at least in my cases it would appear as a HDHR issue and not an Emby issue that it didn't close the tuner.
