Emby/Ember for Xbox one

ever since emby updated last week its refusing to work on my Xbox, so it was suggested that I purchase ember which I did but it keeps telling me that my credentials are wrong but they aren't. I have tried deleting and reinstalling both app, clearing cache and cookies but nothings worked. Please can someone provide a solution so I can get this sorted for my kids. It's now becoming incredibly frustrating.

Hi, I have done, the kids were trying to watch it tonight, but it either skips episodes entirely or freezes all the time, it was a really good app they raved about but now it’s just not working on their Xbox.

Anyone got any solutions please? I really don’t want to have to change provider, but that’s the way it’s looking if we can’t get it to work

The ember for emby app is a 3rd party app that as far as I'm aware hasn't received any updates in a very long time. It is likely incompatible with recent emby server versions. You're going to want to stick with the official emby app on Xbox. 

We're also going to need more details to help you out, like what the emby app is doing when you try to launch it and connect to your server, app version, server version, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by "change provider" Emby is a self-hosted personal media server that provides no content. You install the server software on a NAS or computer and point it to a local media library. Either you have your own server with your own media collection, or you have are granted access to a friend or family member's server.

If there is some third party service you are using that provides content via an emby server they have no affiliation with emby whatsoever.

Hi, can you try the Emby app again? What version number do you have installed? It just got a major update recently.

Hi, I don’t know if this makes a difference but it’s connected to a pandae server and the app version is the most recent one, I’ve deleted it and reinstalled a few times since it started having problems

So this is one of the things that it’s keeps doing on the Xbox but now it’s started on the firestick too, it’ll freeze mid episode sometimes it will stay like that other time it’ll skip on to the next episode, it freezes the same when the kids are watching their movies

The kids are trying to watch a movie just now and it won’t start and these are the problems that we have been having since the update.

Is this your own self-hosted or are you accessing someone else’s Emby server?

It’s a server called pandae, I pay someone else for it

Then that server's owner is violating the OS for Emby and, when Emby finds out they will be banned and their server blocked as much as Emby can.

You are in no danger from Emby but you sort of wasted your money and supported borderline criminals that are at least thieves. I suggest setting up your own server and putting your media on it. Emby is a great program but their rules should be followed. 

Emby will, probably, justly close this thread and they may ask for some info to help them track down and shutdown the bad operator.

You setup your own Emby Server first. Once you've done that, you'll know the answer to this because that information will be displayed in your emby server web interface.

Just so you know making your own emby server entails hosting your own media like tv shows and movies. Emby by itself provides no content.
