Semicolin 3 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 @Lukenot sure if what I came across across right way to do it. It has worked for everyone except I have a user on a fire stick who said the app wont let her leave the port blank
Semicolin 3 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Okay I just had a breakthrough. I had the user that required a port. I was reading an old post and it said to use 443 in the port. Worked for them 1
AncyAndal 1 Posted October 21, 2025 Author Posted October 21, 2025 @SemicolinDo you think you could tell me a little bit about what you got to work and how? If you have managed to solve my original issue it i might end up doing the same.

kmanus 4 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Having the same problem here. I can access via browser, but not through the android app. My guess is that something in the Cloudflare settings is preventing non browser traffic. I'm new to Cloudflare, so going to poke around the interface and see if anything stands out as potentially blocking the Android client.

kmanus 4 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 OK, I have found the problem. It's the OTP default authentication in Cloudflare. Works fine accessing Emby in a browser, but with OTP on, all connections from apps that I tested just show the "Unable to Reach Server" error shared earlier in this thread. Not sure if there is a plan in place for non browser apps to support OTP login to CF tunnels. Would be nice to have that ability for added security, but I'm not sure what all that would entail. 1
kmanus 4 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Additionally, since it drives me nuts when people reply with a "found the problem," but don't share the solution: 1. In your CF dashboard, go to Zero Trust > Access < Policies 2. Select the policy name, likely the default Allow Emails policy, select the three dots menu > Configure 3. Under the Action dropdown, select "Bypass" and the selector under rules to "Everyone" 4. Click save in the bottom right corner. You can now log into your Emby server using non-browser clients or Emby Connect. Please note that you are exposing your Emby login page to the world, so follow best practices. Don't show usernames on the dashboard, hide admin accounts, etc. 2
VampiresguitaR 0 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Cloudflare tos are change?!? They permit video traffic now? Is a great news if it's true! For people who are behind cgnat and isp don't have ipv4 or ipv6 option like me in Italy with my fiber isp, is very good to know!
