mlapoint 10 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I have an Emby Server running on a DS 1522+ that I do not believe supports hardware transcoding. I do have a pop_os machine that has a GPU in it. Is there a way to still use my pop_os to do hardware transcoding for the videos I have on my nas?
Luke 42077 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 HI, only if the pop_os machine runs Emby Server, so you'd have to move it to there.

Just install emby-server on your pop-os and have the DS 1522+ share the files either by SMB or NFS and mount them on the pop-os. 1
