Premiere prompt on browser

Hi team,

I am trying to utilize the web client (have tried through chrome and brave) on my Linux PC. It is prompting me with a prompt for premiere.

i was under the impression playback was fully supported on Linux through web browser without needing premiere. Is that not accurate?

https://emby.media/support/articles/Premiere-Feature-Matrix.html

That says that PC or mobile browser has full playback in free or premiere.

thanks in advance.

Hi.  Is it stopping you from playing, or just telling you about Premiere?

Both. Prompts and only provides ability to subscribe to premiere. Does not allow playback.

Hi, what are you trying to play?

Just trying to play a video from a remote server. Nothing too fancy.

It gives me a prompt that says unlock feature, offers me the ability to play one minute only or to get to get Emby Premiere.

I think maybe I figured something out? I went into app settings and then display and changed display mode to desktop.. tried playing video and it plays fine. If I change display media mode to tv.. it prompts that dialogue box. I think there is a bug there.

i prefer the TV style layout and it used to work.. hoping you may be able to help solve this for me. Hope the above helps to figure it out.

Browser playback in TV mode requires active Premiere subscription. Full playback is free only in Desktop mode.

Emby Premiere Feature Matrix

Thank you, Emby is so feature packed I absolutely missed the tv mode portion as being a feature of premiere. I should have looked closer, appreciate the quick response.

I wish I could unlock this client side without premiere however I know that isn’t an option at this point in time.

thanks again for the quick response.
