Asazen 8 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 When trying to add a custom CSS code or a Login Notice, I click Save and an animated icon appears spinning around and there it stays unfinished. If I refresh the page the changes are not saved. I have tried in several web browsers.
Luke 42077 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Hi, how are you determining that the changes are not saved?
Asazen 8 Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 I add the code, I hit save, I exit the section and enter again and the code is missing.
Asazen 8 Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 .pageTitleWithDefaultLogo { height: 2em !important; } I used this code that I left but I also tried many more all provided by Happy2Play, it's not that I need this, I was just testing and I realized that it didn't work for me and I'm a premiere user and it should be included, I don't know if it also works in the free version.
Asazen 8 Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 It seems that there are permission issues, I'm leaving the record. embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 Hi, looks like you have something preventing the server from writing over it's own config file: 2024-12-31 10:33:17.776 Error Server: Error processing request *** Error Report *** Version: 4.8.10.0 Command line: /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /var/packages/EmbyServer/var -ffdetect /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffprobe -nolocalportconfig -ignore_vaapi_enabled_flag -pidfile /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/EmbyServer.pid -defaultdirectory /volume1/Public -updatepackage emby-server-synology72_{version}_x86_64.spk Operating system: Linux version 5.10.55+ (KP@RROrg) (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc (GCC) 12.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.38) #72806 SMP Thu Sep 5 13:41:48 CST 2024 Framework: .NET 6.0.31 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 4 Data path: /var/packages/EmbyServer/var Application path: /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/system System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/var/packages/EmbyServer/var/config/system.xml' is denied. Perhaps try rebooting the machine and seeing if that helps?
Asazen 8 Posted January 2, 2025 Author Posted January 2, 2025 Restarting didn't fix anything, I restarted several times.
Luke 42077 Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 OK maybe you'll need to look at permissions of that file and/or the entire server data folder. Can you think of anything you might have done to deny the server access to it? If the server can't write to it's own data folder then it's going to cause more problems beyond just this.
Asazen 8 Posted January 2, 2025 Author Posted January 2, 2025 I also just reinstalled the .apk and the same thing happens..

I haven't touched anything, much less the permissions, only the initial ones that I gave to the shared folder, everything else was by default, that's why I'm already worried, I don't really want to modify any CSS, I'm just worried that it won't let me do it.

I solved it by restoring the NAS to factory settings and installing Emby from scratch. If I restored the backup, the same thing happened again, so I had to start from scratch. What I don't understand is how that happened since almost everything on the NAS and Emby was with default options. It was a very drastic solution, but since no one knew how to give me a solution, I had no choice but to do this. 1
