Glyde62 50 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Last week or so have possibly getting a message popup at top of screen saying websocket is offline No ideas what that is but all seems to be working fine Any ideas?
quickmic 1703 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Websocket is used for realtime updates (when Kodi is running). If it's a permanent issue, it should be reviewed.

quickmic 1703 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 As long as it's not permanent and the realtime (e.g. progress) updates are working, nothing to worry. Could happen when server is busy and not responding to a websocket ping. Websocket tries a reconnect automatically.
HDGuy 8 Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 I also have been getting constant Web socket is Offline messages. I wonder if this is an issue with the newer Emby server builds?
quickmic 1703 Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 No it's not. I use the latest Emby server beta version, and it's fine. I assume you use a proxy? Then check if websocket ws/wss is enabled.
