Azra3l 6 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Hi, Ive recently started getting streams stop every 5 seconds and continue on Emby Live TV. I have attached the ffmpeg and embyserver logs. Please advise on how to diagnose. embyserver(2).txt ffmpeg-directstream-e14291cd-2ab9-4ae3-b88f-6f27d6708408_1.txt
visproduction 315 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Embyserver txt shows downloading of the same set of images 7 times. Why is this happening? Example: Search for: zSx7nwhbRfQ68JL982uBICGob6Y.jpg Did you try to load the media by clicking something 7 times?

visproduction 315 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Azra, Trying to update image so many times in the log seems strange. With Linux, sometimes the rights to write to a directory can be limited for an app. If the image update fail to save, then maybe Emby is trying to do it again and again and that causes the stuttering. Seems like you run into user rights a lot in Linux. Like when the program user group doesn't get all the rights for where the content is stored, because something missed in the install, or the admin move files into another directory that had more limited rights. Maybe check all the group and user rights to your content folders? Just a wild guess.
Azra3l 6 Posted January 1, 2025 Author Posted January 1, 2025 vis, thats because I was trying to refresh the guide and it wasnt showing VOD. so was doing that many refreshes manually. But that had been settled and I still have the same issue of the media getting stuck every few seconds. This seems to happen only to the Roku devices though. Am able to stream directplay of IPTV on my desktop app and android app. On Roku it keeps converting to HLS, could that be a cause for this? Also, Happy New Year!

Http://x x.x.x The just add your epg source If you're putting it through hls proxy then use http://x.x.x.x/epg.xml.gz (I believe that's the right link. You can verify in the hls proxy config GUI)
CharlesF 36 Posted January 8, 2025 Posted January 8, 2025 Assuming this TVNext ever gets released, will it replace the need for HLS Proxy? Which as of now is the only way I can reliably use Emby for LiveTV with IPTV

But going by my hundreds of hours previously testing TV Next, I feel comfortable saying yes. Carlo
