Digital Audio Output?

Hi softworkz, I have my PC running Emby connected to my Logitech receiver and using Emby Theater I have the following audio settings;

But in the new App I only have this;

Is this by design, a future addition or is mine broken somehow?

I understand MPV is no longer used for audio, I am currently re-encoding AAC & EAC3 to AC3 using the following in my MPV conf

[AAC 5.1 to AC3]
profile-desc=AAC to AC3
profile-cond=(p["audio-codec-name"]=="aac") and p["audio-params/channel-count"]==6
af=lavcac3enc=yes:640:4

[EAC3 to AC3]
profile-desc=EAC3 to AC3
profile-cond=(p["audio-codec-name"]=="eac3") and p["audio-params/channel-count"]==6
af=lavcac3enc=yes:640:4

Will there be a way to achieve this going forward, I have a LOT of content that is encoded using AAC?

What kind of Logitech receiver do you have?

Don't you see the passthrough option?

It's only shown when you have "display syncing" (under Video Options) set to "Audio".

Ah, I see - the passthrough options are not shown in case of "digital out". This is fixed for the next update now.

Thanks.

You da man softworkz :)

Will there be a future solution for re-encoding now that MPV is no longer used?

MPV is still used (for video playback).

Specifically audio re-encoding, as per my original post.

It's the Logitech Z5500 system
