JBloom91 31 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Question: Is there a place for whitelisting group artists that come up as one? For example, 天気予報・空気系・Kanal Vier is three separate artists (天気予報, 空気系 and Kanal Vier) but Emby lists them as one artist. https://musicbrainz.org/artist/0299623c-72fc-40d6-adf5-f4548f4d5aab https://musicbrainz.org/artist/ccf37635-634a-42d5-9114-ef37d6ec91ba https://musicbrainz.org/artist/8f6f09f7-4bdc-4a5e-aad9-1db481ef5cdc
Luke 42078 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 @JBloom91how are they tagged in your audio files?
JBloom91 31 Posted December 26, 2024 Author Posted December 26, 2024 The album artist is tagged as "天気予報・空気系・Kanal Vier"
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) I guess it is if @Lukeautomatically parses this (middle dot) delimiter used here? Or should this be corrected to supported delimiter within any tagging program script? Edited December 26, 2024 by Happy2Play
JBloom91 31 Posted December 26, 2024 Author Posted December 26, 2024 That is correct, Happy, it's just like that.
Luke 42078 Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Right you’ll need to use the proper delimiter of /
MrAudio 22 Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 I prefer using a semi-colon, as that seems to be better supported across MANY different platforms (the number of weird devices I've played my music on would impress most folks), and works perfectly with Emby as well, being a supported delimiter. Obviously that's up to each person's preference.
