vladimiroff 1 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Hello, recently bought Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE and installed the Emby app. For the most part everything works, except that some videos are glitching to a point that makes the video unwatchable. Attached a sample recording, just to give you an idea of what's really going on. VLC does not manage to automatically decode it unless I chose Decoding acceleration in the settings (see attached screenshot). The video is not anything fancy in terms of resolution, either: I don't see anything in the server logs that indicate issues. Playing the video without internet connection, once downloaded does not change anything. That issue is reproducible with a few videos I have in my library. Definitely looks like an issue with the tablet, but is there a way to change decoding settings in the emby app, so that I don't have to use external players for those troubling videos? Luke 42077 Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Hi. Is the problem only with videos that have xvid?
vladimiroff 1 Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 Huh, looks like it, yes. All of the problematic videos have the XVID codec tag and none of the working ones I've tried. 1
