alok1 14 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Can someone tell me what is latest version of Emby Client on their Samsung TV App Store ? Mine is 1.8.0. It's been 7 months and no update has been pushed to App Store. My TV is 4-5 years old.

Mine is 1.8.0. It's been 7 months and no update has been pushed to App Store. My TV is 4-5 years old. The latest version right now is 1.9.5 which should always be posted in the pinned link at https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/31461-emby-for-samsung-smarttv-release-notes-tizen-orsay/ The latest version in the store depends on a lot of things including year and model group, etc. as each is tested separately, and the latest version is always different for each. If you can provide your model number, then the devs can answer if you have the latest store version. However, you may be stuck at 1.8.0 now. Samsung also will not test or publish Emby updates for TVs once they are 5 years old and the devs can look that up also once they have your model number. If you are stuck now, then your only options are to either install the developer app from USB if you want the latest or stick with the one you have now from the Samsung store. The issue with the developer app is that you need to keep it current as it expires monthly. Edited December 26, 2024 by FrostByte

And I think my TV had its 5th anniversary a few months ago. The last version in the store for me is 1.2.6, but my TV is from 2018. So, it's not been updated for almost 2 years now. Any model from 2019 is surely not being updated now and 2000 models are probably about to be in that situation if not already. The devs can look that up for you though if you want with the model#.
FrostByte 5392 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 If you want to look up which year your model was made you can look it up in the table from the link below: https://developer.samsung.com/smarttv/develop/specifications/tv-model-groups.html
