Emby Displaying Titles I Don't Own After Folder Scan

Recommended Posts

I just installed Emby on my Synology NAS.  In setting up the library I selected a folder on that drive containing my movies.  After completing the scan in addition to those files Emby is displaying movies I don't own and don't want.  Where did they come from and how can I get rid of them?  Thanks.

Likely some of your items have been miš-identified? If you look at those titles detail view MediaInfo section, what paths does it show? Do they correspond to item titles?

I tried to play one of those titles which, by the way, is shown 6 times.  The error message was that "no compatible streams are currently available".  I'm not sure this one is a misidentification.  Edit Metadata shows it as a movie called " 5 Pattern Dragon Claws". When I tried to delete it I got an error message: Access to the path '/volume1/@appstore/Node.js_v20/usr/local/lib/node_modules/npm/node_modules/node-gyp/node_modules/cacache/node_modules/glob/dist/mjs/pattern.d.ts' is denied.

There are many other titles I've never seen before.  I'll have to install a metadata plugin.  There's a lot of cleanup to be done.

I think I figured it out.  User error.  Thanks for the help.

Hi, what was the solution?

Wrong file path.  As was suggested looking at the path in metadata helped me to figure out what I'd done wrong.
