DTS X Passthrough

Is there a way to pass-through DTS X audio on the new windows app?  The option wasn't available when I went to the Video Player settings.  All works fine with Kodi on the same system.

Thanks

It already supports it, just like atmos. The metadata is passthrough with the media

I will have to try again.  Atmos worked fine but not DTS X.

Thanks

It's there in the audio settings. I found it works better if you check the box for enabling exclusive audio for emby.

Thanks.  I selected all available formats along with exclusive.  I will try again later when I return home.

Thanks

Its a bug, I can confirm the same issue DTS-HD or DTS:X bit streaming is not working and it falls back to DTS core.

Exclusive mode makes no difference.

TrueHD bitstreaming works fine as KeithA mentioned although the seek bug audio dropbox still exists.

No issues with the old Theater or Kodi they work fine.

Will do later, the other half is busy watching world war Z😀.

Interesting, I didn't see any mpv-.....log files there was only embyclient...

Heading out will double check when I get home.

The log is devoid of any useful information. I don't know what's happening with that.

I may have to give you a preconfigured mpv to troubleshoot with.

I'm assuming that your av receiver displays are showing you that it isn't DTS X?

Yes correct, both dts-hd and dts:x show as standard dts even though emby dashboard shows dts-hd direct streaming.

The old theater and kodi work fine.

Scroll down to show the audio.

stats for nerds from the old player below, these is no way to scroll down in stats for nerds on the new or old I can find.

from the new players mpv log does this mean anything? Looks like DTS-HD is not checked for passthrough, but it is.

[cplayer] AO: [wasapi] 48000Hz stereo 2ch spdif-dts
[cplayer] VO: [gpu-next] 3840x2160 p010

I dont think the new player shows audio info in stats for nerds anymore.

The log from the new app is useless.

Stats from the new app?

Posted (edited)

Stats for nerds from the new app were posted above, there is no audio info.

The MPV log shows DTS-HD is being passed as stereo spdif which would indicate DTS-HD HDMI passthrough is not checked or enabled.

That isn't telling you anything. The 2ch part is just a result of the spdif. It isn't actually 2 channel. That there are no stats for audio is a concern. I think i need to provide a preconfigured mpv to test with. Something is wrong but I don't know where the fault is occurring
