pan26 6 Posted February 6, 2025 Author Posted February 6, 2025 The test environment has not changed any settings. Does this mean that the strm file will not recognize the default subtitles unless I change some settings? I am hoping there will be an update that will eventually recognize them.
pan26 6 Posted February 6, 2025 Author Posted February 6, 2025 Today I added two new strms with external subtitles, and for some reason one of them had the default subtitle selected and the other was OFF. I deleted the OFF one and added it again, but it remained OFF. The one with the subtitle selected remained selected even after deleting it once and adding it again. By the way, in Emby Version 4.9.0.37 beta, both were OFF. I don't know what it means anymore. Here is the file structure. File name with correctly recognized subtitle: SPEC~零~ [tmdbid=237439] SPEC~零~.strm SPEC~零~.ja.forced.default.srt File name with incorrectly recognized subtitles: SPEC~翔~ [tmdbid=345699] SPEC~翔~.strm SPEC~翔~.ja.forced.default.srt
Luke 42078 Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 Try using smart subtitle mode rather than default.
pan26 6 Posted February 6, 2025 Author Posted February 6, 2025 (edited) I retried all the subtitle modes, but the ones that were off remained off, and the ones with subtitles selected remained selected, with no change whatsoever. It's a shame. I was a little uncomfortable with the fact that the subtitles were selected even if “no subtitles” was selected. Edited February 6, 2025 by pan26
