updatefreak 11 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Hi, I have a question for the season names. For e.g. the tv show "Attack on titan" I have the season name "Staffel 1", "Staffel 2", "Staffel 3" and "The Final Season" (also with Japanese Signs). So it seams that only the "The Final Season" has a custom/special name. Staffel 1-3 are generic names. Is it possible to disable custom season names in general? -> so for my case that its Staffel 1, Staffel 2, Staffel 3, Staffel 4 (basically that the "The Final Season" is called Staffel 4 I attached a screenshot with the folder structure and the emby overview of this tv show.
pwhodges 2012 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 The difference in naming is likely following the names which Emby could get at the time of adding to the library (if not all added together). To change the season name, just edit the name in the metadata for the season. Paul 1

pwhodges 2012 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I presume that will not automatically change back already downloaded season names. Paul

updatefreak 11 Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 So I have to delete the tv show's folder in the library and add it again? Or is re-scanning of the meta data enough?
GrimReaper 4740 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 If it's one or two odd-shows, you can manually edit Season title, as suggested: 13 minutes ago, pwhodges said: To change the season name, just edit the name in the metadata for the season. If it's a bunch of them,. I reckon removing/re-adding would to the trick with less hassle. 1
pwhodges 2012 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) Rescanning is enough I think; but for the one season in your example just edit the metadata - three-dot menu on the season poster -> Edit Metadata, and the name is at the top. Paul Edited December 22, 2024 by pwhodges 1
