luser 37 Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 My hypothesis was that Emby expects the CommunityRating value to be in TMDb rating "format", which has 14 decimals. However, this doesn't seem to be correct.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Test #1 I shutdown the DB and set the community rating of each item to 6.50000038146973. I started Emby, and the rating of each item is displayed as 6.5. In the DB, the value of CommunityRating is still 6.50000038146973 for every item. I then right clicked the library, clicked "Refresh Metadata", changed the "Refresh mode" to "Search for missing metadata", and clicked "Refresh". I waited for this to complete. Afterwards, I restarted the Emby server. Some items in the library still have a rating of 6.50000038146973, while others have been changed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Test #2 I shutdown the DB and set the community rating of each item to 6.50000038146973. This time I also set LockedFields = 'CommunityRating' forĀ the item. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm at a loss. I don't understand what logic Emby is using to replace CommunityRating. Of the 526 items updated, only 112 still contain the CommunityRating I set.
Luke 42078 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Quote I waited for this to complete. Hi, how did you do this?
luser 37 Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 By monitoring the log and the progress circle in the UI over the library.

luser 37 Posted January 1, 2025 Author Posted January 1, 2025 I did. Same result : ( I can post more complete details of my tests later this week. I will also try to lock all fields. I haven't tried that. Maybe it's just the single field locking that isn't working.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 @luserwhat is the exact process of testing as this sounds like direct db edits, then refreshes.
