Looking at that site you linked, it appears that their samples have embedded profiles. Can you confirm if your test samples do or do not have embedded profiles? The video samples are encoded using Rec709 or BT2020 color scheme. The screenshots are a Windows capture, they just demonstrate that MPV is doing an ICC3DLUT conversion with the flag.

Yes it is video test samples from AVS HD 709 - Blu-ray & MP4 Calibration | AVS Forum (Rec709 mp4) and HDR10 test patterns set | AVS Forum (BT2020).

This would explain why I saw no changes. Good idea. I have tested Automatic Color Management (Windows 11, 24H2) and, indeed, with this setting On, Emby displays correctly Red Rec709 (less saturated) and Red BT2020 on a wide gamut monitor, just as expected. However, according to Guide to Color Management Settings in Windows 10 and 11 - TruHu there seems to be problems with Automatic Color Management (but I did no investigate). TassLehoff 2 Posted February 23, 2025 Posted February 23, 2025 (edited) A friend told me colors are bad on his Xbox One X (not Series X) with a 1080p SDR TV, HDR tone mapping seem to work fine but not with Dolby Vision. Are there any options to configure? Edited February 23, 2025 by TassLehoff
Luke 42077 Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 Hi, are you still seeing this with the latest update to the Emby Windows app?

TassLehoff 2 Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 (edited) I think i have found the answer of my question, if i understand profile 5 of Dolby Vision only work on Windows app What i can say: HDR / Without HDR Screen = Work on Xbox, Windows, Android TV and Android DV Profile 5 / Without DV Screen = Work Only in Emby Windows app I can't confirm for now if profile 8.1 play fine because all of my files who use this profile are HDR compatible Edit: I need to ask a friend but if i remember he can play fine a DV profile 5 on Android TV with a DV screen compatible Edited April 2, 2025 by TassLehoff

Guest Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 This issue would appear to be the same, and would seem have come to a conclusion that is in same area. https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/16418
