Assign / remove more than 1 collection at a time

Forgive me if this is a duplicate request.  My search didn't yield anything relevant and there are 53 pages of topics with "collections" in the title.

It takes so much manual work to manage collections assigned to items and the limited ways it can be done make it take sooooo long.

1) You can't remove a collection from a movie ---- you have to go to the collection, find the movie in the list again, and remove from collection there then go back to the movie and repeat if removing more than 1.

2) You can only add 1 collection to a movie at a time.  So you have dig through your collection list multiple times for every collection you want to add it to. 

3) You can't add movies to a collection from the collection.  You have find the movie(s) in the long list of movies and add them to a collection.

Couldn't there be check boxes next to the collections in the list to select/deselect which ones the movie is assigned to?  Just like when adding/removing videos to/from a playlist on YouTube?!  That would at least solve the first two items above.

It sure would save soooooo much time.

Hi, the search feature is available from all screens though and you can do this from there, right?

yes but isn't that just the equivalent of having to add the collection to the movie after you find it and you still have to find one movie at a time. you can't right click on the collection and select add movies and then pick them from a list....ideally with check boxes next to each movie to select/deselect at the same time.

Hi, doesn't the multi-select tool already do this for you? In fact, you can combine it with search or your regular movies list!

Simply go to either of those screens and you can add multiple items to a collection in bulk.

Yes this is a possibility unless the movie is linked to multiple Collections.
