WAN access unable to connect (again)

I had an issue with WAN access last year due to a problem with the SSL certificate. I was able to get it fixed but now since google sold domains to squarespace my certificate renewal came up and I entered the TXT record in squarespace and could not get it to work, when checking with nslookup the DNS wasnt showing the record. I then tried another domain and cloudflare same result. I have since switched to porkbun and now everything in regards to the ssl cert is set up and verified. Problem is when I go to my remote domain and port 8920 I still cant get it to connect. I'm at a loss because at least last time the emby log was showing a password error but this time I can't seem to identify what the issue could be.

Hi,

What did you do with the cert info you got from porkbun?
Did you regenerate a new local cert for Emby with passcode and update Emby settings with this info?

@CarloI tried two different ways. First I downloaded the SSl certs that porkbun generates for you and converted the three .pem files into a .pfx and pointed emby to that file ( I thought this was a good idea since they auto renew) but when that didn't work I went to the way I had been doing it using le64 to produce a key and updating the text record on porkbun and pointing emby to the cert.

Are the port(s) open on the server?  You can check this on the  canyouseeme.org website.

Is the server running in your home lan?
Any reverse proxy involved?
Currently using cloudflare or not?
Have you verified the emby.domain.ext is pointing to the WAN address of the server?

Are you trying to open the site in a web browser?
What error do you get?

-8096 and 8920 are both showing open on canyouseeme.org

-The server is working like normal on home LAN on all devices (app and browser)

-no reverse proxy

-not currently using cloudflare for anything. I'm using porkbun for the domain name for my ssl

-"Have you verified the emby.domain.ext is pointing to the WAN address of the server?" this one i'm not sure do you have resource on how to confirm this?

-Yes, I'm trying to access from a browser and get the this site can't be reached "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"

It appears you have your domain pointed at two different IP addresses.

You should make sure there is only one 'A' record, with your correct WAN IP.
