Wagner123 0 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 My brother-in-law in Arizona has media on his server. On both my iPhone and Sony smart TV I have had access to his server and still do via Emby. My new TV is a Samsung smart TV. From the Samsung App store, I installed the Emby App. But when I specify the same server in Emby Connect I get the error that Emby can't connect to his server. The server address is : https://www.rsmemby.com. What do I need to do to fix this?
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Hi, what kind of SSL certificate does he have? The Samsung TV could be rejecting his certificate, thus causing the connection error.
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 @SamESdo you know if Samsung accepts these?
Wagner123 0 Posted December 18, 2024 Author Posted December 18, 2024 I have no idea, my Sony and iPhone have no problem

Wagner123 0 Posted December 18, 2024 Author Posted December 18, 2024 Any way to change this. It’s been suggested to use a Fire tv stick

You could ask your brother in law to get a certificate that will work more universally if this is the case. We'll see what @SamESthinks. I think Digicert is usually the leading option.
