Tfs 0 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Hello, I would like to know if it’s possible to share folders based on the metadata applied by the administrator? For example, everyone has access to the "photo" folder. Inside the "photo" folder, there are "album 1" and "album 2". I modified the metadata of album 1 by tagging the usernames, and did the same for album 2. I would like those who are tagged in album 1 to have access to album 1 but not to album 2, unless they are tagged. I have more than 50 albums Thanks in advance!
Neminem 1518 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Under Users -> Parental Control you can limit access by tags.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 You already have that per folder access also if you add albums as folder instead of Photos. https://emby.media/support/articles/Folder-based-Access-Control.html But yes if tagging you can apply tag access to users.

Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 17, 2024 Solution Posted December 17, 2024 There really is no simple answer as you have to provider user access via folder access (potentially requiring massive reorganization) or per tagging all media. 1
