External Player setting ignored in music video library

I've set the external Player option in my Android TV client (newest beta). But it seems that Emby does ignore that setting only inside my music video library. It does work fine on other library types like home videos or tv shows though. There is no specific format this issue occurs, seems like a bug linked to the library type. Transcoding is disabled.

I am using MX Player Pro here as external Player.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

The Standard Android app doesn't have that behavior. If external Player is set, it works in all library types. On Android TV app, it does not in the music video library, only on all the other ones.

I prefer using the Android TV app on my TV and the Android App on my smartphone. I guess that was the intention to have two different apps for two different platforms in the first place?

We are working on unifying them into one. Why do you prefer the Android TV app?

Because it works without limitation, while the Standard Android App needs unlock when installed on an Android TV which is, as you already know, broken/unavailable.
