user84 46 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I am curious what logs or history is stored regarding my library? A few questions: What information is stored regarding my library as it stands right now? Locally? On your servers? Elsewhere If I delete media, what logs/history files exist that show that that file was ever in my library? Locally? On your servers? Elsewhere?
Luke 42078 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Hi, nothing about your library or users are stored on our servers. 1

If it info stored locally then you are in complete control so no one can steal or view that info without YOU allowing it.

I just want an answer to the question.

Not sure I get it completely, but sounds like I delete an item, the itemid is purged, and it disappears? So there's no log that says "deleted" or anything anywhere?
darkassassin07 652 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 If an item has a providerID (Ids for IMDB, TheTVDB, TheMovieDB) and that item has been watched by a user on your server; your server will remember that user watched that providerID. All other data related to the item is deleted.

Where do I access this data? Is it possible to export? Is it possible to delete?
darkassassin07 652 Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 It'll be burried in one of the .db files in emby servers data directory, presumably users.db, though a dev may want to comment on that. As far as exporting/deleting; you'd have to do that yourself via a database editor. Emby doesn't really provide tools for that, nor do I have advice there. .... Just gonna toss in a reminder to backup data before messing with it....
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 16, 2024 Solution Posted December 16, 2024 48 minutes ago, Blam84 said: Where do I access this data? Is it possible to export? Is it possible to delete? It is in the library.db in the userdatas table per usersid from the users.db. And yes you can query all that userid info and remove it. example showing user 2 in users.db and data in library db. 1
