I don't want to lose the Metadata

Hi guys, I will change my server for another with better perfomance. I will copy my movies, TV series in a new HDD, but I don't want to lose the Metadata. My data was edited, translated and added Photos and completed bios of the actors. If restart a new server (with my user) the most probably is that I'll have to realize all the editing process again. It is so much! How can I save and move Metadata to the new server?

I'll apreciate your support.

This is the main reason to save metadata and images with media.  As everything is always together.

Now if you don't save with media the any new setup will have to have the exact same paths and media can never be moved if setup without saving with media ie database only.  As a item is always deleted and readded to db when moved or changed.

Happy2Play, thank you for your comments. But the answer is very generic. I want to know if in my specific case I can save the Metadata.
I have 3 folders: Movies, TV Series and Kids Movies. Where is that Metadata?
What should I do? Which folder or file of the Metadata should I Copy or Move to where?

I'll apreciate your support.

If you do not save/write nfo files the the metadata only reside in the database so there is nothing that can be done to maintain metadata unless you enable write nfo files and for Emby to write nfo files by touching every media file or refreshing the library.

Otherwise you have to maintain all the databases and /metadata folder and media paths can never change.
