Migrate Server (Other Issues)

I posted a question about migrating earlier which @Happy2Playwas able to solve for me so I continued with the attempted migration but have hit another roadblock

On my new Windows 11 system, I am able to login with the Emby account to Windows, install Emby, and install the application. Even license it.  I am also able to access al of the video files on my NAS, where the Emby user has full read/write access.   And the files in the appdata/backup directory where my Emby backups have been taken.  Emby keeps erroring out on accessing any of it however....

It just seems like it refuses to accept the backup file.  I've  even copied it and pasted it on the local system and still nothing.  Any suggestions?  Really don't want to lose all my watched status.

What exactly is the error?

It shows that it cannot find the directory when I type it in.  When I try copying the existing backup folders to a local location, it doesn't seem to recognize them as valid backups.

It took an auto backup last night into that local directory and the format of the backup looks different than the format that my old server is taking.  The old server backup looks like this

The new server backup was just a bunch of folders.  I deleted it to see if it would pickup the one I want but that didn't help.

Not sure why your new setup can't see the network share.

That specifically is an additional DB backup and is different than the Full backup folder.  As full backup content will be use and if you change to a different db date the those dbs will be restored instead of the ones in full back up folder.

Just like here where I made a copy of full backup of Release version before changing to beta

Thanks @Happy2Play I have figured out both issues.

I was not copying the right backup file per your suggestion above.

Additionally, since I was trying to run Emby as a secondary user on my box that didn't have admin privileges, instead of installing and running Emby under the account I was logged in as, it installed and ran under the context of the admin user I authenticated as.  This was what was breaking the SMB auth.

I added admin privileges to the Emby user.  Reran installation under that context.  Removed admin privs.  Restored the backup.  Created a runas bat file to run upon startup and a Caddy service to automatically start and everything is good.

Also, the migration happened in minutes which is crazy compared to prior experiences.
