Is there anyone who can give me step by step instructions on how to setup my router so I can access Emby from my Roku Box.  I'm totally lost.  I had it working on my Netgear Router, probably by luck.

Are your Roku and your Emby server on the same network?  If so, why is the router involved?  If not, why not?

The IP address of your server has likely changed since you replaced the router. You would need to use "SKIP (manual entry)" on the Connect screen of your Roku or the Add Server button if it goes directly to the Choose Server screen. Then manually enter the IP address of your Emby server as shown on the Emby dashboard into the Roku. Then your users should show up and you can choose among them.

All your Emby apps will need to be given the new IP address whenever you replace your router as the IP address assigned from the router will change dynamically.

While what you have said is absolutely true there is a pretty easy way around the limitation.

All you have to do is make a note of the important addresses and then, when you install your new router, all you need to do is enter your new router's setup screens and assign the addresses you made note of to the devices. Router manufacturers use different names for "dedicated IP addresses" but it is usually quite clear. I have replaced my router four time in the last 6 years and I have never had to reconnect my existing Emby apps simply because the server's address did not change.

What I just said may or may not apply to remote access as I do not and never have used that.

I do not go through that setup primarily for Emby, it is just a pleasant side effect of some other devices I have that REALLY do not like getting new addresses.

Have a good day.
