markpainter 8 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) Daft question, but it's got me stumped. I want to download some shows to watch on holiday. I am downloading them by selecting download from within the Emby Windows app, and they are arriving on my computer ok. But I am confused as to how to find them to actually watch within the Emby app. I suspect that the answer is staring me in the face, but I can't find it! Edited December 8, 2024 by markpainter
visproduction 315 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Mark, Normally your computer / Xbox has a designated download folder. In Windows you can see it inside your Explorer window listed as "Downloads".
markpainter 8 Posted December 9, 2024 Author Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) Ah My mistake. I was assuming that the Windows version was the same as the Android version On Android, when Emby downloads a programme from the server , it's shown within the Emby app as downloaded files and you can play direct them from there. Not a biggy, as I can download them in Emby and watch them with VLC or similar. It just seems a bit daft to have to view them from another app rather than within the Emby Theatre app itself. Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi, they are very similar. What version of Emby for Windows do you have?
markpainter 8 Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 On Windows and it's 3.0.20. On the Android app there's one of the options at the bottom of the app saying Downloads, but there isn't anything like that on the Windows app (That I can see!) Hopefully I'm missing something obvious

But stay tuned because any day now we'll have a new windows app.

Luke 42077 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 No, what I mean is stay tuned for the new windows app that is about to launch. 1
