About embedded cover art of album…

I’ve encountered this issue:

1. I added an album (let’s say album 1) to music library. Metadata of each song was edited and inserted a cover art.

2. Cover art of each song was correctly shown with the help of embedded cover art extractor of music library settings.

3 Now I am editing “album 1” again with some new cover art for each song in this album.

4 Then I remove the old album from library and files on local drive and replace them with new file s (which contains new cover arts)

5 Then I refresh music library, the new album 1 is added successfully, BUT the cover art for each song is not refreshed. (still represent the old cover art)

SO,

1. How to remove album metadata and cover art pic file from server program data? I guess this issue happened cuz cover art cache are still there, old cover arts are not entirely deleted by clicking delete from web ui.

2. Am I doing some steps wrong from the first place, IDK.

Hi there, try refreshing the metadata on both the album and tracks, and when you do, check the box to replace existing images. Please see if that helps. Thanks.

Sadly nothing happened after trying metadata refreshing on both sides. I manually replace cover art for each track in web ui eventually. XP

Could it be that you have to name everything according the guide?  It's really the only way that content has any chance of being recognized and pulling online images.  If you use your own naming system,  Emby doesn't know this and cannot recognize the content.
