Emby IPad app get error when playing files with subtitles

Hello,

The file and subtitles work on my pc when viewing through my browser, but when I open a video with an accompanying SRT or SMI subtitle file I get the error:

No compatible streams are currently avaliable.

I thought it was the SMI file so converted it to SRT but the same error happened.

Is there a known fix for this?

Here is the log of the error that happened with both formats of subtitle. I can play the file with no subtitles without any issues.
