Audio Hi-Res files

I'm new here.
I continue experimenting with emby.

Now I'm experimenting with audio files.

First question: when «Direct Play» appears in the statistics, shouldn't that mean that there is no Downmix?
In fact, a 24/96 file, despite the “Direct Play” indication appearing, my receiver only identifies it as 48 Khz.

More:
On the PC it can read all formats (even though some formats like DSD it downmixes). The same files, on the LG WebOS C4 TV, cannot be read.

Are these emby problems common when reading HI-RES audio files?
Thanks

Yes, LG is fairly picky about audio.

I would say that generally, 48kHz is the limit, and even multi-channel flac (>2 channels) has previously caused issues.

This is the official guide, but that doesn't mean there isn't more that can play, but nothing is guaranteed.

While this spec says 96kHz for flac, it also says only 2 channels is supported

Hi SamES,

Thank you very much for the help.

I didn't know about this excellent document regarding LG's webOS.

Now that I've purchased the LG C4, I'm trying everything to avoid using my Zidoo BOX connected to the TV again. One more passenger on the waywould... not good. But, i see that at least for sound, we lost HD Audio.

Image:
I was already prepared, for example, for the limitation that Dolby Atmos files should be mp4 and not mkv, but I wasn't counting on other limitations. For example, with emby, files that are 60 fps (there are very few films with this feature) freeze a bit.

Thanks

Yes when it says Direct, that means Emby is sending directly to the LG system audio renderer.

But what happens when it goes from there to your receiver is not in our control.
