Emby Synology 7.1 zu 7.2 Update -Was ist zu beachten?

Hi,

 

wie im Titel beschrieben, möchte ich auf meiner Syno 920+ von DSM 7.1 auf DSM 7.2 wechseln.
Das es hierfür eine andere Emby Version gibt weiß ich.

Aber was ist zu beachten?

Laut Suche, wird EMBY beim Update deinstalliert, weil die DSM 7.2 EMBY nicht mehr unterstützt.

Kann mir Jemand  da behilflich sein, damit ich das reibungslos hinbekomme?

Ich habe noch gar nichts getan. Ich wollte wissen, ob bei dem Update des DSM etwas zu beachten ist.

Ich habe eigentlich nicht die Absicht, EMBY neu zu installieren, es läuft und es ist aufwendig genug. Aber Synology empfiehlt wohl die 7.2 Version wegen der Sicherheit.

Daher die Frage!

Currently we support 3 different branches for Synology as you can see in the pic above taken from our download page. You're currently running the DSM 7 version of Emby, which is the second/middle branch shown above. For the 920+ NAS this is the latest version (as of this writing).

Synology 7 (Use for DSM versions starting with 7.0 or 7.1)
https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.8.10.0/emby-server-synology7_4.8.10.0_x86_64.spk

That's the 4.8.10.0 version for DSM 7.0 & 7.1) for 64 bit CPUs.

Check the current version of your Emby Server. If it's not 4.8.10.0 at present, download the above and install it via package manager before doing the DSM upgrade. This will make sure you're running the latest version.

Go ahead and update DSM to the latest 7.22 version and restart the NAS. Once restarted, download and install the file below. 

Synology 7.2 (use for DSM 7.2 and greater)
https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.8.10.0/emby-server-synology72_4.8.10.0_x86_64.spk

This is the same 4.8.10.0 version of Emby Server, only it's built using the Synology 7.2 framework libs.

Technically, you could probably just update DSM to 7.2x then install the 7.2 version of Emby above, but I prefer to make sure Emby Server is running the same version before and after the DSM update.

danke für die Antwort.

Mir ist ja bewusst, das es diese unterschiedlichen Versionen des Emby Server gibt.

Die aktuelle Version auf meinem DSM 7.1 ist - Version 4.9.0.8 beta

diese liegt also über der empfohlenen Version.

Ich müsste also zunächst auf die Standard Version - 4.8.10.0 umstellen oder kann ich einfach hier auch die Beta Version verwenden für DSM 7.2?r

Aber meine generelle Frage konnte nicht sicher geklärt werde, daher konkretisiere ich das nochmals:

Wenn ich von DSM 7.1 auf DSM 7.2  upgrade, zerstört das meine Emby Server Installation, so das ich nochmals alles von vorn anlegen muss?

Und da wollte ich wissen, ob es zu diesem Umstieg Erfahrungen gibt, denn ich bin mir sicher, das es einige User gibt, die diesen Umstieg vollzogen haben.

Ich möchte eben eine komplette Neuinstallation verhindern, da ich mich damit echt schwer tue und froh bin, das alles im Moment funktioniert.

Hi, you cannot go backwards from 4.9 to 4.8 unless you do a fresh install. I would suggest updating to the latest 4.9 beta version.

Then, when 4.9 stable is released, then you can jump off beta at that point.

Ganz ehrlich -> Nein, Installation nicht erkannt, Datenbank nicht abrufbar usw.

Zum Glück habe ich das Ganze als Backup auf eine alte Syno gespiegelt, die kann nur max. DSM 7.1. also läuft es jetzt dort, bis ich eine bessere Idee habe.

Wann wird hier -> https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html eigentlich mal eine Versionsnummer in den File eingepflegt, man weiß nie, ob es aktueller ist, als das auf der Shild installierte System.

Sorry, das war echt unhöflich von mir, so lange nicht zu reagieren, aber ich habe es einfach nicht hinbekommen.
Habe jetzt wieder ein neues NAS - alles neu aufgesetzt mit DSM7.2 - und jetzt läuft es so, wie es soll
