EZEd 60 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 (edited) I'm running Android TV client on Hisense Google TV. I side load an older version of the client (2.0.33g) because I prefer the music playback presentation of the older version over the latest version. However because my TV is set to auto update. After a few days or so it over writes the older version with latest from the app store. Is there any way to leave auto update on for all the other apps in the hardware but some how flag Emby not to update? I previously had an Android TV set top device and it would not over write any apps that were side loaded. This Hisense TV updates all apps no matter the source and I have to keep reloading the older Emby client. Any suggestions? Turning off auto updates turns them off for all apps which I don't want to do either. Edited December 6, 2024 by EZEd
Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 @EZEd Have you tried the Emby standard android app on your TV? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
EZEd 60 Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Yes. It doesn't prevent auto update either. And it does not have the visual playback behavior I'm looking for in music either.
Luke 42077 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Hi, what do you mean by visual playback behavior?
