richt 95 Posted October 9, 2025 Author Posted October 9, 2025 @LukeBeen down this road before. Doesn't help. Reset encoder to defaults and did it again. No change. ffmpeg-transcode-ff684a15-c085-41cf-9ab3-0f210d768dae_1.txt
richt 95 Posted October 9, 2025 Author Posted October 9, 2025 Installed beta 4.9.2.1 in a docker instance and conversion fails for it as well. Left all parameters at defaults. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-ccf8ffe7-736c-49a1-9dbb-d54ff354a91e_1.txt hardware_detection-63895631785.txt
richt 95 Posted October 9, 2025 Author Posted October 9, 2025 2nd try failed as well. Note that both files were recorded with an HDHomerun, however this one was from a different channel with different parameters. Just to repeat something from one of my original posts, I am using a post processing script to transcode the files. The reason the script works is because I am using VAAPI instead of QSV. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-e993039b-2b43-4b36-b4ef-a085a91d6974_1.txt
richt 95 Posted October 9, 2025 Author Posted October 9, 2025 Here is the script I use. A little fluff in it, but you get the idea. mp4_comskip_intel_51.sh

richt 95 Posted Wednesday at 05:44 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 05:44 PM @LukeLooks like QSV is a lost cause on the Terramaster F4-423. It uses an Inte Celeron N5095 which is part of the Jasper Lake family. Jasper Lake is no longer supported by Intel for QSV, but does currently have ongoing support for VAAPI. https://github.com/Intel-Media-SDK/MediaSDK Any chance your team can add VAAPI to the encoder options?
