777111000 0 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 nfuse Connection Issue—Help Needed! Hi Emby family, Long-time Emby fan here (seriously, it’s the best platform to pair with Infuse, hands down). Recently, however, I’ve hit a snag. My Infuse connection stopped working out of the blue, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows how to fix it. Here’s some context: • I’ve been a loyal Emby user for ages and recently upgraded to Emby Premium because… why not support the best? • My Emby server runs 24/7 on my trusty Mac Mini (yes, it’s basically a little robot that never sleeps). • I wonder if too many connections to one user profile might be the culprit? Or could it be something quirky in my server setup? I don’t want to even think about switching to the competition—Emby is my ride-or-die. In the pictures below you can see i cant get the Emby Connect to work and the "other Emby" option to work either. Help me keep the dream alive! Thanks in advance for saving my Infuse life! Let me know if you want any tweaks!

777111000 0 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 As you can see, this is the furthest I could go in the two options of Connection, before getting hit by a connection issue.
Luke 42077 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Hi, are you sure the address that you added is correct? 1
777111000 0 Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 Hi well I'm using the Remote Wan Access address which has been working for me for quite some while but recently I sometimes cant reach anything from the server like its off but i see the emby app is reading it, as we speak i cannot even connect to it anymore as you can see. Maybe I should use a different one please let me know, i mostly create it to give access to some family abroad and some friends and for myself mobile and ipad, i like to always use the remote route this way so im never mixed up even if i connect my in house apple tv

Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 @777111000are you able to get a more detailed error message from the Infuse developers? 1
777111000 0 Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 I havent tried to reach there support just yet is this what you suggest ? anything you guys can do ? I was told by someone of the Emby team that maybe you guys are going to look into the Infuse conncetion have you tested my flow ? and it works on your side ?
Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi. we have a lot of users here connecting with Infuse. There's no widespread problem that I'm aware of. The reason we need more detailed info from Infuse is because of something happening internally within the application during the connection flow but with the app just displaying that generalized error message. or, if not that, then we at least need to know the type of error it got back. For example, did it timeout, did it get a response error code back, etc. By the way are you using a reverse proxy? if you are, then if you look at it's log files that might also help tell you how far Infuse is getting.

Let me know if you want any tweaks! In your second picture, I see you put the full address with port. Just put “78.196.251.207” without the “http://“ and then hit the drop down for advance and your port number resides on there. Edited January 4, 2025 by sdragon001
