Asustor AS5404T hardware encoding not working

Hi,

Issue:

I bought a premium licence yesterday with the intent of utilising the hardware transcoding features of my NAS. Despite my best efforts at arriving at a configuration to enable hardware transcoding, it seems to always fall back to software transcoding. CPU usage on the NAS is a constant 100%. My understanding is that Emby should be able to use Intel's QSV to perform hardware transcoding? What am I doing wrong?

Hardware:

NAS: AS5404T

CPU: Intel Celeron N5105

GFX: Intel Jasper Lake UHD Graphics

Software:

Emby Server installed via the Asustor "App Central" app store

Emby version: 4.8.10.0

I don't recall exactly where the option is located within the ADM UI, but there should be an option to "enable media mode" Turning that on should allow for hardware transcoding to work.

Hi @Clackdorand @Luke,

Switching on the "Media Mode" option in the Asustor GUI solved my problem. Thanks for your help! Emby transcoding works perfectly now.
