BradyA 1 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I recently switched server hardware and in the process I also switched from Windows to Ubuntu as my OS for my server. I have used Caddy as my reverse proxy in both instances. When I had my Windows server setup, I was able to connect through the app by typing in my domain name and keeping the port as the default. Now, on my Ubuntu server users have to change the port number to 443 in order to connect, even though my domain remains exactly the same as well as my firewall rules and my caddy configuration. This was convenient before as some people who use my server don't understand what the port means, but they can just click connect and it will work. I have put the external domain within my network settings as well as switching "Secure connection mode" to "handled by reverse proxy." Any thoughts on this? My port 8096 was never open on either configuration and the only way to reach my Emby server has been through Caddy (443).

Solution Luke 42077 Posted December 3, 2024 Solution Posted December 3, 2024 Hi, the default port used by Emby apps is 8920, so yes, if you require 443 then they will have to configure it.
