mchahn 22 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I've noticed that unaired episodes in the UI have the future date when the episode is due to air. I can't find that field in that rest api. Can someone point me to it?
Luke 42077 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Hi, these items don't live in the server database. They just come straight out of the tvdb api.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted December 3, 2024 Solution Posted December 3, 2024 But to answer the question, the field is PremiereDate.
mchahn 22 Posted December 3, 2024 Author Posted December 3, 2024 Thanks once again. > They just come straight out of the tvdb api. Is that why you moved unaired episodes to elsewhere in the UI? I'm using the old emby version that keeps all episodes in one list. > the field is PremiereDate I saw PremiereDate in the series. I didn't see it in the episode. If I don't find it I'll just get it from TvDB.

It exists for episodes in general. Maybe the episodes you're looking at just don't have the value filled in?
mchahn 22 Posted December 3, 2024 Author Posted December 3, 2024 > just don't have the value filled in? Possibly, but they exist in the UI. I looked at the episode items in the series "Somebody Somewhere", episode 6 (aired) and episode 7 (unaired). Both episodes only have DateCreated and LastPlayedDate. The UI has air dates for both episodes. I looked at an old sample of an episode item I had saved and it had PremiereDate. So it seems inconsistant or maybe I'm doing something wrong (not unusual). Does the web app get it's data from this API or some other means? If it gets it from the API then the data I'm looking for must be in the API. In any case I can go directly to TvDB. I'm already going there from my uitility. Thanks again.
Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 What fields did you request as part of your query? 1
mchahn 22 Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 It wasn't in my fields list. I was sure it was there but is isn't. It works now. I want to apologize profusely for wasting your time. 1
