Music playlist management impacted by twitchy user interface

My Environment

Sony Bravia TV - Android 3.4.24

1000+ tracks sorted by playlist order

Steps to reproduce

1a)Scroll Playlist

1b)Remove a track from playlist

repeat stage "1"... 0 to many times..the more repeats the more likely the issue...

(playing or not playing a music track doesnt seem to matter, but i tend to playing something while i manage the playlist)

Observed Behaviour

Doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough to be readily reproducible. 

At any point during 1a/1b (including during no user input for many seconds) the playlist UI will suddenly refresh and put the cursor back at the top of list (user has to scroll down hundreds of objects to get back to where they were and continue playlist pruning)

I never have an issue on smaller playlists but then my other playlists are only two pages max.

Expected Behaviour

The cursor stays on or around the currently selected track..(not withstanding moving up/down 1 after a track removal).
