As the ffmpeg-transcode-da456fd1-507d-4160-9d29-f7d470b17241 log has graphical subs and the other does not. And you see it is slow below 1x conversion speed. There is something I can do, or the only thing is to remove the PGSSUB? The strange thing was the behaviour of the 1st video: The 1st time it show the green symbol but the 2nd time I tried, it showed.

You can get the Dianostic plugin and reenable the option but will automatically reset with ever server restart. As this was a change in 4.8 as not all previous version stuff made it into 4.8 release. Also performance wise have you test switching HWA order from VAAPI to QuickSync? >>>>>> Hardware Decoders for hevc [X] VAAPI GeminiLake UHD Graphics 600 - H.265 (HEVC) [X] QuickSync GeminiLake UHD Graphics 600 - H.265 (HEVC) >>>>>> Hardware Encoders for h264 [X] VAAPI GeminiLake UHD Graphics 600 - H.264 (AVC) [X] QuickSync GeminiLake UHD Graphics 600 - H.264 (AVC) Go to Transcoding page and set Enable hardware acceleration when available to Advanced and drag and drop order for decoders and Encoders.

I didn't even noticed that I could change the order of the decoders and encoders I now changed the order, installed the plug in (didn't change anything; the "Disable Hardware Subtitle Overlay" was already checked). On the 1st movie, it start without showing the green symbol but after some seconds, it shows. For this movie, I also have external subtitles (.srt) but the behavior was the same (screenshot 1 and 2) Regarding the second movie (I don't have external subtitles) it still shows the green symbol (screenshot 3). If it matters, the subtitles of the 1st movie are SUBRIP, and on the 2nd one are PGSSUB.
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 @Kurt13has changing the order resolved your issue?

I tried now again (busy days so couldn't try it before) using my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Android 14, if that matters) on wifi, and both movies played without fine, without any green symbol. - With the first movie, I tried using the Subrip subtitles from the movie, and with the external ones (.srt) - The second one was with PGSSub. Using 5G, it transcode to 1080p 20Mbpsand and the green symbols appeared after 25-30sec on the 1st movie (using Subrip or srt), and with the 2nd movie was right from the beginning. [Off-topic: One thing I noted is that when I go to a movie with video themes (and maybe music themes) and then I leave that "folder", the sound of the video theme keeps playing until I open the "folder" from another movie. It evens keeps playing if I close Emby (this case, I think it's only on the smartphone; not sure).]
