Help to setup on TS-464-8GB

Hi,

I've finally pick this Nas model,

i have 3 disk 8TB sata and 1 ssd 1TB

I was thinking about a raid 5 pure without any features like snapshots etc. and im curious if ssd will be better as cache or for apps to be placed in;

I've found different posts about it on net.

Is there anybody with similiar setup who can help me choose better performances ?

I have to migrate from Synology to Qnap too.. but this is another story but if anyone did that successful too let me know.

Hi, if QNAP has an ssd cache feature similar to Synology then yes that should help the performance of the entire machine.

Oh ok, I'll try for now to use 1 SSD for app storage and later 1 SSD to cache then and see how it will be; im curious about this nas power in transcoding
