AgileHumor 123 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Hi Folks, I wanted to share my library with my non-technical parents. I was hoping to preconfigure a device and send it to them. First, what is the best HDMI device (ideally USB powered) that will play Media Browser. I with thinking the Roku 3500R streaming stick: http://www.amazon.com/Roku-3500R-Streaming-Stick-HDMI/dp/B00INNP5VU Second, what is the best HDMI device to set MediaBrowser as the default start up app? I'm assuming that would be more of a android tablet vs Roku. Thanks all! PS - I've never used Roku yet. Only DLNA TVs, MBC, Windows App, Windows Phone App, Android App

bluemonkey07 590 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Yea I agree, a roku stick or android stick configured with kodi/xbmc set as the launcher and xbmb3c + skin
AgileHumor 123 Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Thanks folks! I think I may go with an android stick if I think the internet setup is easy enough.
jhoff80 94 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 The Roku is pretty easy to use, but keep in mind that there's no way to auto-boot into an app or anything.
