Carlo 4561 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Hi, Looking at your ffmpeg I see: The video start-time is 4,905,841ms The audio start-time is 4,904,952ms => Offset is 889ms This is often an indication of poorly authored files! The resolution is 720x576 which is a 4:3 anamorphic aspect ratio. However, the media is incorrectly marked as having an aspect ratio of 16:9 That would explain the funky condensed view you see. You'll want to replace the media or try to fix the media You could try using ffmpeg with a command like: ffmpeg -i input.ts -c copy -bsf:v h264_metadata=aspect_ratio_idc=1 output.ts -i input.ts: Specifies your input file. -c copy: Copies the video and audio streams without re-encoding. -bsf:v h264_metadata=aspect_ratio_idc=1: Sets the aspect ratio metadata to 4:3. output.ts: Specifies your output file. This command changes the aspect ratio metadata to 4:3 without re-encoding the video. Carlo
denz 501 Posted November 22, 2024 Author Posted November 22, 2024 Thank you for detailed explanation. It’s live tv SD channels that this happens to and this happens in Roku as well.
