ReididNomis 1 Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Hello New user on Emby I meet a quite same situation On the disk, I have a main folder named "Artiste Francais" I have sub folders by Artists : one artist = On folder Example 1 : /Artiste Francais/Alain Souchon Example 2: /Artiste Francais/Alizee And so on.. Under every sub folder, are recorded mp3 songs and mp4 videosongs The mp3 songs have "Nom Artiste - Nom chanson. mp3" naming The mp4 have "Nom artiste - Nom chanson. mp4" Example 1 : Artiste Francais/Alizee/Alizee - Gourmandises.mp3 Example 2 : Artiste Francais/Alizee/Alizee - La isla Bonita. mp4 So in emby I declare a mediatheque type "Contenu Mixte" on "Artiste Français" folder When I want to browse in emby client : * If the sub folder like " /Artiste Francais/Alizee" contains no mp4 files, emby display the folder and when I click on the image I have access to all recorded song * if the same subfokder contains one mp4 file, emby does not display the folder but display the song&video ready to be played. The access to all files under the folder is inhibited Please have you any explication? Emby server is installed on debian 10 and the repository disk is Ssd formatted ntfs Thank s
Luke 42077 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Hi @ReididNomiswhat version of Emby Server did you test this on? Can you try this again on a new install of 4.8.10? Thanks !
ReididNomis 1 Posted December 8, 2024 Author Posted December 8, 2024 Hey Luke I've found a solution. Perhaps, it's well known for emby team 1) - Remember : I have "artists directories". Under those folder, the songs named : "ArtistName - SongName.mp3 or .mp4" When one of the music tracks is in MP4, sometimes, often, emby tends not to present the folder containing the songs in the folder. It presents only the MP4 music track that I can only launch: No access to the other tracks. 2) - Workaround : Each ".mp4" file must be isolated in a subdirectory of the same name but without extension and everything becomes correct For your information : Emby Server has been installed on a Debian Server Bullseye Thank you Luke 1
