EMBY Server Version 4.8.10.0 Meta Data Copy to the Windows File Level

Friends,

I am running EMBY server Version 4.8.10.0 as a installed server on my Synology NAS DS720+ and it is working great!

I have noticed that EMBY keeps a database of the metadata of the file and indexing at the client level but does not write to the Windows File level.

Is there a plugin, setting, configuration to allow me to write the meta data that is stored in EMBY and tag it to the Windows file level? That way if I use
a third party app like AIMP or Pot Player the Windows fille level has the meta data embedded.

Please advise as I will keep searching.

Thank You

Dave

Hi, currently no. This has come up before and is certainly possible for future updates.

Thank You Luke..  Do you keep a customer feature request log or in the forum where customers can submit a service request?

Would there be any third party plugins that would append this data that can be sideloaded?

What I really enjoy about EMBY and have been using the server/client for the last couple of years that it has been my all in one media
platform. At the Windows level platform, it would be awesome to integrate.

Please advise and Thank You for the quick follow-up

Dave

Hello Luke!

Have noticed this was brought up in the past with other members. Is there a feature request forum that we can submit to the devs to consider
implementing this?

Is this on the roadmap for emby and if so, can you provide me with a little more context of release?

Thank You

Dave

Hi, you could open a feature request topic. I would say it's not on the immediate to do list for 4.9, just based on the level of demand for it compared to other things.
