Multiple Versions of OTA recording issues

Hello,

I record one OTA on separate channels as one is better quality, but sometimes has drop-outs due to atmospheric conditions (Antenna to the south) and another is lower quality, but more reliable signal. So I record the same show on the separate channels so I can watch the preferred channel, but have the backup as well if needed.

Each channel records the same show (again, sometimes the one fails and is only 5 min), but either way two files are created by Emby from the HDHomeRun stream and show in the Recording folder structure here:

In this case the both were successful and both show in the episode menu for selection:

 

If the one fails then there is no version selection and it is stuck on the failed one. **I will get some screenshots when i can reproduce again (need same show at same time to fail again)

Issue#1

Tested using Roku TVs and web, the chapters/thumbnails are not version specific. They show the same Chapters and thumbnails even when they don’t align with the version being watched (I can tell because the one is a Canadian station and one is USA so the commercials are completely different, as well as the show before and after). There are however files created for both versions as shown in the first screenshot.

Issue#2

When you are on a specific version in Roku and select delete, Emby deletes everything in that folder except for the second version and season file. So it deletes the Episode data and thumbnail files of both versions. This is right after deleting only one version:

The data can be re-created, but took several refresh command and a library scan to get Emby to bring them back.

HI, can you check again on the web app? It should have version-specific chapter thumbnails now.
