Playback error on IPhone 16 Pro, but working on iPhone 12

I got a new iPhone 16 Pro and now some of my videos are not playing correctly. The error is Playback Error, no compatible streams available

The weird thing is that the same videos work on my older phones, computer, TV and everywhere else.

Nothing changed about my server.

Any thoughts about what might be happening or what I can try to fix it?

Thanks for offering to help. Here is my log file. embyserver (4).txt The lines that look relevant are:

I checked and all the transcoding permissions are allowed on my user. The user is also not limited in quality.

Try setting a higher bitrate in the client app.

auto settings is a pita, and defaults to 4 mbit.

So with this media file you need to set it to 13 mbit

@Iquabahas this helped? It appears you may have set a really low quality setting in the client app.

Both the iPhone 12 (working) and the 16 (not working) have the default playback settings in the app.

I discovered that when I disconnect from my home network and connect externally via Tailscale, playback starts working on the 16

No matter what playback settings I’ve tried, I still can’t seem to get some videos to playback on the 16 even though they work everywhere else

Are these the settings I should be messing with? I’ve tried setting all three to 144p, 10 Mbps, and 200 Mbps

OK. Is there anything in common about the files that this is happening with?
